Posting: The first Wednesday of every month is officially Insecure Writer’s Support Group day. Post your thoughts on your own blog. Talk about your doubts and the fears you have conquered. Discuss your struggles and triumphs. Offer a word of encouragement for others who are struggling. Visit others in the group and connect with your fellow writer – aim for a dozen new people each time – and return comments. This group is all about connecting!

Twitter handle is @TheIWSG and hashtag is #IWSG.

The awesome co-hosts for the April 4 posting of the IWSG are Olga Godim, Chemist Ken, Renee Scattergood, and Tamara Narayan!

April 4 question – When your writing life is a bit cloudy or filled with rain, what do you do to dig down and keep on writing?

The Struggle is Real

I have a really hard time focusing on writing when either my writing life or my non-writing life is cloudy or filled with rain. Lately, my real life has been just that, and I’ve not written a damn thing, aside from this blog, since December. I guess I’m not very good at managing my emotions, and I let them affect my creativity. And it kinda sucks. I’ve definitely THOUGHT about writing, but when it comes down to it? I can’t get myself going. I guess I’m digging so deep on so many other things, I have nothing left to dig deep on writing.

If you have any suggestions for inspiration and digging deep and what you do through this difficult writing and non-writing times, I’d love to hear about them!!

I wish the blog could be longer this week, but I’m on Spring Break! It’s rest time, but, of course, I wanted to chime in on the #IWSG blog post!

Thanks for dropping by!
