Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds! Posting: The first Wednesday of every month is officially Insecure Writer’s Support Group day. Post your thoughts on your own blog. Talk about your doubts and the fears you have conquered. Discuss your struggles and triumphs. Offer a word of encouragement for others who are struggling. Visit others in the group and connect with your fellow writer - aim for a dozen new people each time - and return comments. This group is all about connecting! Let’s rock the neurotic writing world! Our Twitter handle is @TheIWSG and hashtag is #IWSG.
The awesome co-hosts for the April 2 posting of the IWSG are Jennifer Lane, L Diane Wolfe, Jenni Enzor, and Natalie Aguirre!

April 2 question - What fantasy character would you like to fight, go on a quest with, or have a beer/glass of wine with?

Hello, friends!
I can't believe it's already April! So much so that I definitely forgot about the blog post today, so I'm here with a quick writing update!
There's not much to say really. March was a really slow month writing-wise. I was really trying to make it Manifestation March and manifest a book deal, but alas, that didn't happen. Unless my book is at acquisitions somewhere and I don't know it! fingers crossed
I've been in limbo this month and it's kind of been affecting my writing. I've very much felt like I've been spinning my wheels and not gotten a lot accomplished. The holiday romance is on submission, so nothing to do there but wait. The sports romance is with an editor, so again, nothing to do there but wait. I've been trying to brainstorm some other projects and get started on a rewrite, but keep getting distracted by other things that are more fun.
I have been doing some more reading. I finished two ARCs and part of a beta read.
The first ARC was a debut novel, Roll for Romance by Lenora Woods. And I put my full review up on a blog post. This was my first approved NetGalley request so that was kinda cool! It comes out July 15th from PRH/Dell Romance, and I gave it 4 stars.
The other ARC I read was another debut novel, The Best Wrong Move by Lily Parker from ChocLit/Joffe, releasing April 24th. I haven't gotten my review for it done yet, but I'll be releasing one sometime this month and will have a Q&A with the author to go along with my review. So be on the look out for that!
Otherwise, I've just been trying to find my footing and give my creative well some time to recharge.
I'll be doing some writing streams on Twitch again in the next couple of weeks. April 11th-13th is the Weekend of Writing Wildly on Twitch and we'll have 50 consecutive hours of writing sprint streams. So if you'd like to write with others, that's a good chance to do so!
I hope others have had a more productive month than I have!
April Question
Today's question asks: - What fantasy character would you like to fight, go on a quest with, or have a beer/glass of wine with?
Oh geez. There are SO MANY good fantasy characters to choose from, but given my intense crush on Aragorn (specifically the Aragorn portrayed in the movies), I'm gonna have to say movie Aragorn. I know his heart belongs to another sigh but a girl's gotta dream right?
If I had to choose another, I think, simply because I've been binge-watching Buffy lately, I'd want to get a beer at The Bronze with the Buffyverse Scooby Gang.
Thanks for stopping by!
Let me know in the comments how your March was and what your plans are for April.

Looking forward to traversing the blog hop this month.
Be sure to see my links for other places to keep up with me online and sign-up for my newsletter! I promise I won't spam you. I don't even have an onboarding auto-welcome post set up yet, but I am working on a reader magnet.
For now,
Rosie J.
