November 2026: I'M PUBLISHED!!
Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds! Posting: The first Wednesday of every month is officially Insecure Writer’s Support Group day. Post your thoughts on your own blog. Talk about your doubts and the fears you have conquered. Discuss your struggles and triumphs. Offer a word of encouragement for others who are struggling. Visit others in the group and connect with your fellow writer - aim for a dozen new people each time - and return comments. This group is all about connecting! Let’s rock the neurotic writing world! Our Twitter handle is @TheIWSG and hashtag is #IWSG.
The awesome co-hosts for the November 4 posting of the IWSG are Kalpana, Kim Lajevardi, Rebecca Douglass, Jennifer Lane, and Cathrina Constantine!

November 4 question - As a writer, do you have favorite themes that you like to explore in your stories? If so, what are they?
***************
Hello, friends!
This is going to be very short and sweet because I am so tired after a hectic month, but I didn't want to miss because I didn't get to post in October.
I really only have one thing to say tonight: I'M OFFICIALLY PUBLISHED! *throws confetti*

Yes, that's right! The Tinsel Twist dropped November 3rd.
I got so lucky that Slow Burn Bookshop in Nashville agreed to host my book launch party, not only because it's a super cool store, but because my publisher (Turner Publishing) is located in Nashville and my editors and marketing team got to attend the launch! It was so fun to be able to put names with faces and talk to people I've been conversing with for a year on this project in person!
Friends attended the launch and a few complete strangers, which blew my mind! I was told there were even more on the RSVP list, but with it being election day and some iffy weather, I know some people didn't make it. I got to sign a bunch of books to stock in the store though and left behind some swag with them. So if you're in the Nashville area, go pick up a copy at Slow Burn!
I have a few more events/signings coming up. If you're around any of these areas, please stop by and see me, or catch me virtually!
November 14, 10am - 4pm - Books by the Banks - Cincinnati Public Library, moderating a romance panel at 1:30pm. This is going to be a FANTASTIC event and it's completely free. Consider coming if you're in the area!
November 28th, 12pm-2pm - Dragonfly Book Bar signing - Bristol, VA
December 5th, 12pm - 3pm - Fred & June's signing - Mooresville, NC
December 6th, 12pm - 3pm - Barnes & Noble signing - Florence, SC
December 12th, 2pm-4pm - Georgia Blossom Books signing - Corbin, KY
December 14th (virtual) - 9pm ET - 10pm - Conversation and a Cocktail on the GoIndieNow Youtube channel
December 19th, 12pm - 2pm - Good Girl Books signing - Knoxville, TN
So yeah, I have a bit of a busy schedule ahead of me, but you only debut once and since this is a holiday book, I kind of have to cram it all in.
If you're wondering about where to buy THE TINSEL TWIST, I could include links, but honestly, most bookshops worldwide should be able to order it as long as they order from Ingram distributors. Internationally, it could take longer to arrive, of course, with Waterstones quoting mid-December. So if you're interested in checking it out, just search on your favorite store's page or ask them in person! You can also check your library and request it if they don't have it.
If you are looking for an ebook, my publisher does use KU (now Kindle+) so you will be able to buy it on Kindle if you don't have KU or read it as part of your KU subscription.
I think that's enough yapping about my book launch. It's just so wild! After most of my life dreaming of this moment, it's finally here.
As for the question today, I do really like theme, and it's something I've talked about a few times recently when discussing my debut and any themes that might be in it, and if I had more energy I would likely say a lot about it, but I don't. For the most part, I tend to find that my main characters are generally trying to overcome getting the short end of the stick in some major situation or they are trying to reinvent themselves and pivot and find a new footing.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by!
Looking forward to traversing the blog hop!
For now,
Rosie J.
